We recognize the critical need to maintain inventory control and we’ve designed our processes with strict attention to chain-of custody in mind. Product shipped from the manufacturer is initially received at one of our strategic locations where it is thoroughly inspected, and the information downloaded into automated program. Items are then securely warehoused and remain protected until selected for final delivery. At every step, all the way through to final installation, your bar-coded inventory is scanned to location and matched to packing slips, bills of lading and Pos. If the reconciliation isn’t 100% perfect, we contact the vendor and pursue on your behalf until it is.
To ensure accuracy and control, each bar-code is scanned out of the warehouse and onto the delivery vehicle. Upon unloading at the job site, each piece is again scanned to its destination and the driver prints a receipt using a portable printer. On the spot, our system allows for accurate easy-to-read delivery counts.
Thuraya on-site Project Managers have the skill and experience to work with outside vendors, facilitate customs clearance, schedule site deliveries, and coordinate with construction contractors, housekeeping and other hotel staff. For example, we build checkbook functionality into the purchased order process and offer our members with the ability to have their personal expense budgets loaded and tracked in the system in real-time.
Purchase orders totals are immediately debited from those budgets, with the remaining budget balance included in the internal purchased order for review for the approval; so there’s no more estimating. Every time the shop made, the purchasing manager and the approval see the budget remaining for the current month for each line item. It’s that simple.
Our regional warehousing network includes climate-controlled facilities, restricted access, video surveillance, fire protection systems and other specialty requirements. All of our facilities are regularly inspected to make sure compliance with strict quality assurance standards.
Once securely at our warehouse, you’re FF&E and OS&E inventory will assembled into kits for delivery to each room.
